Christy Opsahl is a former prosecutor with over a decade of extensive courtroom experience prosecuting offenses in all counties of the 7th Judicial Circuit, which includes St. Johns County, Putnam County, Flagler County, and Volusia County. As a prosecutor, Christy handled a variety of cases including; driving offenses, DUIs, property crimes, financial crimes, drug sales and possession, domestic disputes, aggravated assaults, aggravated batteries, weapons offenses, sexually motivated offenses, and homicides. She has successfully prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases, in felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile courts and has a vast understanding of how the process works from both sides of the law.
Christy Opsahl has substantial trial experience, having tried over 100 trials. Ms. Opsahl has been recognized for her successful trial advocacy skills, having been awarded the Trial Top Gun Award by the State Attorney’s Office of the 7th Judicial Circuit.
After over a decade as a prosecutor, Christy went into private practice and worked with Plaintiff’s firms handling complex civil litigation such as the Engle tobacco cases, while helping those who are navigating the criminal justice system to obtain the best result for their individual situation.
